The holiday giants are looking for a Head of Yes who will travel first class across the globe and document it on social media.

It’s the stuff of fantasies. Travelling the globe in upper class, staying in luxury hotels and setting sail on epic cruises. Imagine being able to do this while being paid to do it too. It sounds too good to be true?

But for one lucky Brit, this could become a reality as Virgin has announced a search for a new role. The job is to be the company’s ‘Head of Yes’. It involves saying yes to trying out its best luxury travel experiences on offer and then posting about it on their social media channels.

The ‘Head of Yes’ will be paid to take part in one-of-a-kind adventures, all in exchange for documenting their experiences on social media and, of course, simply saying ‘yes ’.

The role has been announced to encourage the nation to say ‘yes’ more and embrace life’s opportunities, after a survey by Virgin found that 70 per cent of adults believe some of the best memories in life come from saying yes to things.

The research found four in 10 Brits would like to say ‘yes’ to doing things such as going to events or accepting invitations more frequently than they do now. Watching live music, spending a day at the spa, and booking a spontaneous trip are some of the top experiences Brits want to do more of.

The survey also revealed the nation is being held back when it comes to participating in activities and experiences, with one in 10 (9 per cent) attributing this to anxiety about change, a fear of the unknown and financial concerns.

And 21 per cent say they would say no to opportunities due to being stuck in a routine while six in 10 (58 per cent) say they struggle to be spontaneous in their day-to-day lives.

Andrea Burchett, Chief Loyalty Officer at Virgin, said: “The Head of Yes exists to remind the world what happens when you stop overthinking and start living. Life doesn’t get bigger by playing it safe. This is for the person who says yes to karaoke, to skydives, to showing up even when it’s easier not to.”

To make the dream a reality, applicants for the ‘Head of Yes’ deal must post a TikTok about a time they have said yes to an unforgettable experience, using the hashtag #headofyes on the post.

Applications for the role will be open from 29 September until 10 November 2025.

Closer to home, a couple are being sought to work on a Scottish estate where they will be paid £80,000 a year. The job, in rural Aberdeenshire, comes with a cottage and will be a five days a week.

The successful applicants will join the established estate team and will comprise a handyperson and a housekeeper.
